Percentage of Primary Care Providers Accepting New Medicare Patients, 2006

Data notes
Due to reported administrative burdens of Medicare and reimbursements concerns, providers have become more selective in accepting new Medicare patients. This refusal by some providers can limit access to care for the elderly and disabled populations.
